Oryza Sativa – Rice Bran Flakes, your Vegan wax, high in antioxidants protecting your skin from free radicals, sun damage and premature ageing.

Shea Butter – with a high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins makes this ingredient our hero for softening and soothing your skin. Shea butter also contains anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Coconut Oil – an amazing ingredient for sore, irritated or chafed skin, especially great for dry lips. Coconut oil works to lock moisture into the skin keeping it supple and hydrated.

Rosehip Oil – may help boost collagen, reduce inflammation and protect against sun damage. Rosehip contains fatty acids and Vitamin A for moisture and skin regeneration.

Jojoba Oil – is our healing oil, effective in treating dry, cracked or chafed lips.

Argan Oil – is high in fatty acids and Vitamin E which is essential for healthy skin. Vitamin E has powerful antioxidant properties and is used as a natural preservative.

Vitamin E – pure Vitamin E for antioxidant and natural preservative benefits. Mica – non-toxic mica ground from a natural stone used to give a hint of colour. Titanium Dioxide – works as a UV filter helping to protect your skin from environmental damage.

Red and Yellow Oxide – minerals mined from the earth to add strength and depth to mica powder

In a world of excess consumerism and waste, Bourne comes from a need to simplify, to create a new daily ritual that feeds your skin and your soul, whilst leaving the lightest touch on the environment. A new, slower, kinder way.

Prior to launching Bourne in 2020, founder Prue Holder worked with women for many years in fashion, makeup and beauty. She launched Bourne in response to a need in the market place for women over the age of 35 (women with maturing skin who are often overwhelmed with choice in big stores, lack confidence in the staff who are often very young and don’t understand makeup for their skin type).

The premise for Bourne is to create a range of sustainable cosmetic / makeup products that are multi purpose, people, planet an animal friendly with a less is more approach for the modern woman. Prue wants the Bourne range of products to help empower women to be the best versions of themselves possible, without the need to cover up their perfect imperfections.
