Founder Amie Bristed, started her entrepreneurial journey back in 2003, with the launch of Merino Kids and the first ever merino sleeping bag for babies. After picking up a few awards in the Deloitte Fast 50 and a number of local and international business design awards, Amie and her family moved to Hampshire in the UK to start building the brand in Europe. But with three children, it wasn't long before Amie realised she was missing being able to raise her young ones in the wonderful natural environment of New Zealand.
In 2019, happily ensconsed back in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand, Amie branched out to add luxurious wool furnishings to her repetoire, principally servicing high-end architects and interior designers. It began with the need to create well-designed, beautiful quality woollen products, and quickly expanded to a truly stunning range of home furnishings, unlike any other. Small Marvels is delighted that Amie has expanded this to include being part of the house built by New Zealand.
